A Sure Thing!

There are a lot of things in life that require hard thought and long deliberation – like Pepperoni or Sausage – but a Bingo Promotion? Not so much.

First off, as the newspaper, you have no risks. There is nothing to buy, no gamble – until you have the idea sold to your advertisers. We can print and deliver bingo cards in about 2 weeks so you can sell the idea to your advertisers first and then let us know how many cards you need. So you haven’t committed any expense until you know it’s going to fly.

The risk is nil – but the rewards are great -great for both you and your advertisers!


  1. You increase single copy sales when bingo players buy extra copies to cut the numbers out and you should let readers know they can play more than one card. It’s a promotion you can market to non-readers because everybody loves to play bingo and win prizes also

And that brings us to the best selling point for you when you are out looking for sponsors. People pull bingo cards out of the newspaper and hang them on the refrigerator or put them beside the remote. Point being – they are kept right where the player can look at them every day. Players check their cards every time a new number is published. And that means your sponsor’s ad is seen every day also. If you offer the sponsor a daily ad in conjunction with the call number of the day, the sponsor gets double exposure because bingo players will be sure to look for the daily number. There is nowhere else that your sponsors will find the opportunity to advertise where their ads are guaranteed to be seen daily by so many for so long.

So when you think about a promotion that requires no risk but can generate revenue and boost single copy sales, it’s a no-brainer.
